Accepting these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Blitzmate, the operator of the Blitzmate app and the blitzmate.co website. Creating an account or using Blitzmate means agreeing to these terms and to our privacy policy.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country to use an online service, if higher) to use Blitzmate.
Your account
You may have one account per person. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for everything done through your account.
Usernames must not impersonate others, must not be offensive, and must follow the community rules below.
Coins
Coins have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn or exchanged for money. Play responsibly.
Coins are a virtual in-app item that we license to you for use inside Blitzmate; they are not your property, not money, and not any form of stored value. They can be earned through gameplay, promotions we may run, completing partner offers, or purchase.
Coins cannot be sold, transferred between accounts or to anyone else, exchanged, or redeemed for money, goods, or anything of monetary value, inside or outside the app. Buying, selling, or trading coins or accounts outside Blitzmate is prohibited, and we may remove coins obtained that way and close the accounts involved.
Coins you purchase do not expire. Your license to use coins ends when your account is deleted or closed; remaining coins are forfeited at that point and are not refundable, because they have no monetary value.
Staked matches
In a staked match, both players commit the same stake of coins and the winner takes the pot. Our server is the sole authority on moves, clocks, results, and balances, and settles every match automatically.
Blitzmate is a game of skill played for virtual coins only. It is not gambling: nothing you can win in Blitzmate has monetary value, and there is no way to convert coins or winnings into money or prizes.
Purchases and refunds
Coin purchases are made through Apple or Google at the price shown before you confirm. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, and refunds are handled under their store policies, not by us.
Coins are credited to your account after the store confirms the purchase. Coin packs are consumable purchases and cannot be restored. If you paid but coins do not arrive, email support@blitzmate.co and we will credit them.
Free coins and partner offers
Completing a partner offer or survey is a transaction between you and that partner, under the partner’s own terms. Rewards can take minutes to days to arrive, and may be reversed by the partner if the offer is later rejected, in which case the corresponding coins are reversed.
Do not use false information, automation, VPNs, or other tricks to complete offers. We may withhold or reverse coins from offers our partners flag as fraudulent.
Fair play
Engine or outside assistance during games, multi-accounting, collusion, rating manipulation, deliberately losing to move coins between accounts, and exploiting bugs are not allowed.
Accounts found doing any of these may be suspended or closed, and coins may be removed. If you find a bug, report it to us instead of using it.
Community rules and your content
These rules apply to everything you contribute to Blitzmate: your username, your profile photo, in-game chat, and direct messages.
The following are objectionable and prohibited: harassment, bullying, or threats; hate speech or discrimination; sexual or sexually suggestive content; violent or graphic content; spam, scams, or advertising; impersonation; sharing anyone’s personal information without permission; and anything illegal or that encourages illegal activity.
We moderate content to enforce these rules: profile photos are screened before they become visible, messages pass through automated filtering, and our team reviews reports. We may remove or refuse any content, and warn, suspend, or close accounts that break these rules.
You can report players and messages and block other players from inside the app. We review reports and act on them in a timely manner. To reach us directly about content, email support@blitzmate.co.
You keep ownership of the content you contribute. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, review, adapt for display, and show that content within Blitzmate for as long as it remains on the service, so that we can operate the game.
Paid features
Some optional features cost coins — for example, changing your profile photo after your first one. The coin price is always shown before you confirm.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account or starting from https://blitzmate.co/delete-account. Deletion is permanent: you cannot sign back in, and remaining coins are forfeited as described above. Deletion cannot be started during a live match.
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. If we close your account for breach, remaining coins are forfeited.
No warranty and liability
The service is provided as-is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost coins or lost access arising from network problems, device problems, partner reversals, service interruptions, or account closure for breach of these terms, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you, and nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
App store terms
Your app store’s own terms also apply to your download. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms, are not responsible for Blitzmate or its content, and have no obligation to provide support or handle claims relating to it. If you downloaded Blitzmate from the Apple App Store, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Changes
We may update these terms as Blitzmate evolves. When we change these terms, we update the "Last updated" date shown with them, and we announce material changes in-app. Continuing to use Blitzmate after a change means you accept the updated terms.
